Snooker champ is '100 per cent' innocent of match-fixing
John Higgins' agent says the three-time world snooker champion is "100 per cent innocent" of match-fixing charges.
Higgins was suspended in May following newspaper allegations that he accepted money to influence results in a betting scam.
The 35-year-old Higgins is attending a a two-day tribunal in London and agent Jim Cassidy says that "John Higgins is 100 per cent innocent of any aspect of match-fixing."
Arbitration service Sport Resolutions says any comment will be made by World Snooker, which says it does not expect to make an announcement until Friday.
The News of the World alleges that it filmed Higgins apparently agreeing to accept 300,000 ($382,000) from undercover reporters in return for losing certain frames. - AP
