Sexy babes, crazy lads: Let's play ball

Euro 2012 is bringing out the wild side of football fans.

Polish model Natalia Sewiec was one. She showed her support (and some other stuff) for Poland at the Group A match between Poland and Russia (at the National Stadium in Warsaw on 12th June). On her website, Natalia quotes from a book by author Melvin Burgess:

"I want it so when people look at me they think things they've never thought before—they think things they never even knew they were capable of thinking. It's art. You look at it, and maybe it annoys the hell out of you because you can never understand it. Maybe there's nothing to understand, but it's fascinating anyway."

"And all the time, right on the edge of your mind, there's thoughts lurking like wild animals and feelings you never felt. You can't work them out, you don't know if it's monsters or angels, and you're frightened of understanding because they might just burst out and change your whole life. Your whole life!"

An Italy fan expressed herself in a more subtle manner with painted designs on her cheeks. She was at the Group C match against Ireland (at the Ctiy Stadium in Poznan on 18th June).

More Italians with face paint were also at the Group C match against Ireland.

Some shy Sweden fans chose to cover their entire faces for the Group D match against England (at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev on 15th June).

An Irish supporter (and a couple of friends on her head) was at the match between Italy and Ireland (in Poznan on 18th June).

Euro 2012 is being hosted by Poland and Ukraine from now until 1st July. The matches are played across eight venues, four in each country, five of which were newly built for the tournament.
