Tevez can stay in City

Roberto Mancini has told Carlos Tevez he is welcome to stay at Manchester City.

And the Etihad boss insists there will be no repeat of the infamous Munich bust-up with his former skipper.

Tevez announced on the morning of the Manchester derby he would like to remain at the club.

The Italian boss says it is a discussion for the end of the season.

But, asked about the possibility of Tevez staying, Mancini said: “Why not? He has a contract. And he is a good player.

“But, for now, our concentration should be on the game at Newcastle on Sunday.”

On Monday, Tevez insisted the problems between him and Mancini were all in the past.

He said: “My relationship with the manager is totally fine.

“I want to work hard and win things with City.”
