The point that could win MU the EPL title
Wayne Rooney sparked one of the Premier League's greatest comebacks and then declared: "This point could win us the League."
He scored twice from the spot as Manchester United's never-say-die attitude dragged them back from 3-0 down to snatch a Stamford Bridge draw.
Roo said: "We have shown that spirit so many times over the years and this point could win us the League.
"At 3-0 down, a lot of teams would find it easy to let their heads drop and accept defeat but we carried on working hard and, thankfully, got something out of the game. We really had to dig in."
Rooney — whose two goals took his season's tally to 20 — reckons it will be title rivals Manchester City who will be cursing this morning. He said: "Of course it's two points lost, we understand that.
"But after being 3-0 down all the City players at home won't have enjoyed watching the way we fought back and the spirit of our team.
