Centenarian child molester back in jail
A 100-year-old American paedophile has been jailed again after failing to comply with terms of his parole.

This is the second time Theodore A. Sypnier - with more than 60-year history of sexually molesting children - has been declared in violation of parole for his conviction involving the attack on two sisters in the late 1990s.
Sypnier, New York's oldest registered sex offender, had moved out of a Buffalo halfway house for released inmates in December after completing his latest term in state prison.
But on Monday, the authorities said Sypnier was detained again for failing to participate in sex offender counselling, Associate Press reported.
Sypnier's youngest daughter, who had told investigators that she and another girl were raped by him as children, expressed relief in the afternoon the same day.
"I'll tell you one thing, I know many people are going to sleep a lot better with this knowledge."
"In a way, I'm surprised he didn't comply with parole. He is very, very smart and he knows how to manipulate people to get what he wants," said the 58-year-old woman.
Sypnier initially pleaded guilty in 2000 to two counts of rape, 15 counts of sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as three in Buffalo.
An appeals court threw out the conviction in 2002 after Sypnier claimed he was confused at the time, leading to another plea the following year to a lesser charge.
In sentencing Sypnier to as many as 10 years in prison, state Supreme Court Justice Penny Wolfgang told him she expected he would spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Sypnier was released on parole in 2007, only to be returned to prison in 2008 after failing to attend sex-offender counseling.
He completed his term in November and was to be on parole through 2012.
