China's millionaire mahjong girls on manhunt
Which guy wouldn't want to get with these ladies? Ch-ching!
Guys, are you 30something, about 170cm tall, a university graduate, single and available? Then Chengdu's "millionaire girls club" is looking for you. Oh, just one thing though: You've got to have a "good luck face" because these women love their mahjong!
That's right, we've read about rich old Chinese men eyeballing pretty young girls as potential mates as if they were shopping for wives at a beauty pageant supermarket. But in China's Sichuan province, a group of 36 super-rich businesswomen have embarked on a nationwide search for the perfect husband. One who can stand all their mahjong games.
According to Tianfu Morning Post, the women aged from 28 to 49 have either inherited their family fortune or made their own wealth, and most of them are divorced. Because of their stressful lives, they've turned to mahjong for comfort.
A manager from the matchmaking agency responsible for the spouse search said it's imperative that all potential husbands be considerate and understanding to the women's needs. Agency staff will be interviewing applicants in cities across China including Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai from 10th to 20th August.
Only selected candidates will meet with the ladies on 23rd August, which is Mid-Autumn Festival day or otherwise known as the Chinese Valentine's Day. In Malaysia, we call it Moon Cake Festival day. So far, more than 300 men from college teachers to financial experts have signed up for the gig.
