Touching vid on baby born with no eyes
A young mother, whose son was born with a rare form of cleft palate that has left him blind, has inspired millions with an inspiring video revealing their daily struggles.
In the seven-minute video, 25-year-old Lacey Buchanan describes the triumph of witnessing her son, Christian's giggles in the face of the constant stares and whispers they encounter in public when strangers see her baby.
Christian was born with an extremely rare condition called Tessier cleft, which means that he was unable to fully close his mouth and that his eyes are also clefted such that they never even formed.
People asked her why she did not choose to abort her boy.
They stared at both of them. They talked behind their back. But none of that matters because Lacey knows that her boy is beautiful just the way he is.
Lacey posted the video two months ago and it has since generated nearly seven million views.
