Johor police probe royal brawl on Rawa island

The Johor police have set up a special task force to investigate a brawl on Rawa island between some foreigners and a Johor royal entourage.

Johor police chief Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said this follows nine police reports made by Malaysians who witnessed the incident.

According to their accounts, the fight took place at a private dock on the island off Johor's eastern coast, and came about because the foreigners had verbally insulted the royal entourage.

The incident, which happened in the wee hours on Saturday, had been described as a beating by the Briton and German involved.
