The best of India and Malaysia in Enthiran

There's more reason for Malaysians to be excited about Tamil blockbuster, Enthiran - which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajinikanth.
Our homegrown hip-hop talent, Yogi B (formerly of Poetic Ammo), lends his rapid-fire rapping to the movie soundtrack.
The soundtrack of Enthiran is helmed by A R Rahman, the Indian music genius behind big international hits like Slumdog Millionaire, Lagaan and Bombay Dreams.

"Yogi B's collaboration with A R Rahman will be revealed at the Enthiran audio launch this Saturday," reveals a spokesperson from Astro, the main organiser of the star-studded event.
In their heyday in the late 90s and early 2000, the Poetic Ammo boys who were regular winners at the Anugerah Industri Malaysia (AIM) awards, was a force to be reckoned with in the local hip-hop movement.

While it is confirmed that Rajinikanth, the Kollywood superstar known to be the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan will be in Kuala Lumpur to witness the audio launch, Bollywood screen goddess Aishwarya Rai and A R Rahman have yet to confirm their participation.
Rajinikanth commanded a paycheque of US$4.3 million [RM14.6 million ] in the hit movie, Sivaji or The Boss.
"We're still negotiating with their people," says the spokesperson. "At this stage, we can only say that it's 70 percent confirmed."
A glitzy event for the audio launch of Enthiran will be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), with a live telecast on July 31 at 7.30pm on Vaanavil- Channel 201 & HD Channel 222.
The red carpet will be hosted by local celebrities and top Indian TV host, Jaya Rajendran.
Other big names that will walk the red carpet are Enthiran’s director Shangkar and supporting actor Vivek, actors Little Superstar Simbhu, Jayam Ravi, Sarath Kumar, Vadivelu and Ramya Krishnan, Sangeetha Santhanam, famed lyricist Vairamuthu and singer Balakrishnan Vijay.
