Raining fame

THEY have won coveted awards both at home and at the international arena, have their own label and merchandise and travelled extensively as their music has gained broad acceptance and popularity. But for Hujan, the show has really just begun.
Although their second album is entitled Mencari Konklusi (Searching for a Conclusion), the band actually regards it as a platform for them to spread their wings in the music industry.
The album, which was launched recently at The Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur, sees Hujan’s music graduating to a more refreshingly upbeat and aggressive appeal with a blend of eclectic tunes, infused with a hint of Japanese rock.
“The songs in this album tell of the stories of the band’s journey and experience, which we want to share with everyone through our music,” said vocalist Noh.
The other members of Hujan are Hang Dimas (keyboardist), AG (lead guitarist), Izzat (sessionist for bass) and Acer (drummer).

Hujan: Second album selling like hot cakes.
“Perhaps this is our way of telling people that we’ve grown along with our music and are no longer the overly idealistic and dramatic youths we used to be,” said Noh.
Mencari Konklusi, which is produced by Noh Phrofile, hit the stores on Aug 18 and since then all 2,000 copies of the first print have been snapped up. The second print will be available soon in stores.
Among the songs in the album are 2ndairwave, Obsesi, Kau Harus Ada, Benci, Romantik and Sangkar Besi Dihatiku. The only slow number in the album is Kau Harus Ada.
