Sneak peek at H&M's fall fashion coming soon
By Olivia Lee
Feels like it's taking forever for H&M to open its first Malaysian store? Yes, we know you're ready to give your closet a boost in high-street fashion, but hold on to your wallets until September.
Meanwhile, H&M's PR and marketing manager, Dawn Chow, tells Daily Chilli that the store at Lot 10 on Jalan Bukit Bintang, KL will be a "full concept outlet". And here's what they'll be stocking from their fall/winter collection.

Tailoring takes over for men at H&M.
Guys can look forward to loads of suits. But not traditional colours or conventional jackets because H&M won't be catering for the weak-hearted.
"The suit is the most important garment for men this autumn and it's amazing to see how it can be worn in so many modern ways. Traditions mix with new ideas to build a new wardrobe that's all about personal style," said Andreas Löwenstam, H&M's head menswear designer.
Layering a thin knit turtleneck under tailoring feels fresh, mustard coloured trousers bring an elegant twist, and tailored coats to mid-thigh emphasise a sleek silhouette. Tweeds add particular texture, as do corduroy. Suede trousers bring some attitude, as does a sweater with a shimmering Lurex front.
For accessories, leather brown brogue boots and leather gloves are essential for a tailored look, as are coloured socks, tweed bowties, braces and, for a finishing touch, a gentleman's umbrella.

Minimalism meets maximalism for women this autumn.
Minimal meets maximal for the H&M woman this season, as sleek and sculptural silhouettes are matched with bold shapes and confident decoration.
Layering and separates are vital, supported by key garments like tailored coats, zippered ankle slacks, oversized cable knit cardigans, boucle sweatshirts, long sleeve dresses, collarless blouse jackets and printed leggings.
"I love how there are so many options and ways to show the different sides of your personality. The sleek and minimal pieces feel fresh and modern, and look so great when worn with the new textures, shapes and decorative touches that maximalism brings," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design for women.
Textures are aplenty, as Daily Chilli observed at the press preview. Look for oversized cable knit cardigans and sweaters decorated with plumes of hair. Also expect beads on vests, blouses, skirts, caps and bags, and big, chunky costume jewellery, embellished shoulder pieces and elegant mules.
