Here's a chance to create a TV the Dark Knight Rises
Want to create your very own ad for the upcoming Batman flick?
Warner Bros Pictures has opened a contest for Batman fans to create a 25-second TV spot for the upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises, the epic conclusion of the trilogy by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale.
Participants can use downloadable material from the website www.importedfromgothamcity.com and re-edit footage into a new television commercial.
Director Christopher Nolan will select a winner from the submissions, who gets a trip to NYC to attend the red carpet film premiere and a possible airing of the commercial on television.
The rules require that the ad promote the film as well as the contest sponsor Chrysler. Entry submissions, only eligible from the US, end June 29. Voting continues June 30-July 3 and winners will be announced between July 18 and 20.
The film’s all-star cast also includes Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Tom Hardy as the villain Bane, Michael Caine as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Commioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman, who reprises his role as Lucius Fox, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.
The Dark Knight Rises opens July 19-28 worldwide.
