It's official: Britney joins The X Factor
Expect to see Britney Spears as a judge on The X Factor.
Britney Spears is set to be a judge on The X Factor.
The rumour about Spears filling in one of the vacant spots left behind by Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger had been going on for months. Just recently, the pop princess has signed on the dotted line to be one of the judges, along with Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, on the television music competition, reported E! Online.
"The contract is signed. There's been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she's on. It's all completed and Britney is beyond excited," E! Online quoted a source close to the star of saying.
Spears, 30, will be getting a $15 million (RM46 million) paycheck for her one-season stint. It is reported that the mother of two is psyched about getting on the show.
"She's ready for this. She can't wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges' table and give this everything she's got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together," said the source.
