Andy Lau to join Iron Man 3?

(cinemablend.com)
Last week, Walt Disney Co said it would co-produce its next Iron Man movie with Beijing-based DMG Entertainment to forge closer ties with China’s fast-growing film industry.
And now rumour has it, Chinese superstar Andy Lau may be joining the growing cast of Shane Black’s Iron Man 3.
According to film website Twitch, the Chinese backers of the film want a big Chinese name attached to the movie and since Lau is one of Hong Kong’s most commercially successful actors, he is a very likely choice.
Should Lau join the already stellar cast, his character would be a good guy. A Chinese scientist who comes to the aid of his old buddy Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr) by providing him with some new tech that will help him battle Ben Kingsley’s villain, but more importantly Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) and his Extremis biotechnology.
Other casting rumours include The Help’s Jessica Chastain as another scientist, and oh, The Black Widow will not be returning. Sorry guys, no Scarlett Johansson.
