Sherming Yiu to wed on April 26

Sherming Yiu Lok-yee will be getting married to Alan Ng on Thursday.
The couple went to Kyoto in Japan to shoot their wedding photos earlier this month after a delay due to the late blooming of the cherry blossoms (sakura).
"First, we had to wait until Japan announced the date of the cherry blossoms season before we could book our flight but it's hard to book air tickets during the Easter holiday.
"So we went a few days earlier for a holiday before taking the photos on the last day of the trip," said the TVB actress-turned-artiste manager.

Sherming said they encountered the strongest rainstorm in the area since 1959 when they arrived in Japan.
"I have never seen such a strong rainstorm, so we stayed indoors most of the time, we didn't dare go out."
Luckily, the weather was beautiful on the day they shot the wedding photos.
"But the temperature was nearly zero when we were shooting by the seaside, it was very cold!" said Sherming, 39.

Sherming also told the media that they chose Japan because Alan had proposed to her there, when she was shooting TVB's the Super Trio Game Master last year.
"He brought a Japanese-speaking friend to meet me and asked me to watch a video clip in which he would propose to me.
"The friend was supposed to secretly shoot my reaction with a camera but he stood right in front of me. I could see his hands shaking as he was very nervous.
"I also saw Alan peeping at me from a far corner. So, I knew something was to happen…"

In the video, Alan had asked some Japanese pedestrians to form the words "I love you, will you marry me?"
"Japan is very meaningful to us," Sherming said.
