Former aTV star Alice Chan Wai is ready to give a run for the TVB actresses' money.
Chan, who is the winner of Miss Asia Pageant 1996 and a leading actress during her days with aTV, is set to ink the deal the deal with TVB soon. Her first drama series with the biggest TV station in Hong Kong will be Justice Attack, a new series slated to begin shooting in April.
TVB certainly looks like a great platform for the 38-year-old to launch her comeback since she went into semi-retirement after marrying a Taiwanese businessman, who is three years her junior, in 2008.
"I was looking for the best working team and TVB is the best choice. I will play a career woman in Justice Attack," she said, adding that she joined TVB at a salary that she's "comfortable with".
TVB executive Virginia Lok said they had been in negotiations with Chan for a year before she agreed to the deal.
