AN 18-year-old student is the winner of the inaugural Miss Borneo Beautiful.
Bidayuh lass Livonia Ricky beat 17 other finalists to grab the title which comes with RM5,000 and a scholarship for an executive diploma programme in hospitality and tourism at UCSI University Sarawak campus.
“I’m very surprised, very excited and very happy. This is just unbelievable,” she said on Monday night after receiving her crown and sash from pageant organiser Alaric Soh.
Livonia also won the Miss Talent subsidiary title for her rendition of “This Is Me” from the movie Camp Rock.
First runner-up was Darcia Marcely, 20, from Miri while 18-year-old Cornellia Johnek from Sri Aman was second runner-up. They won RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively.
Other subsidiary title winners were Annabella Wee (Miss Friendship), Anglia Hendry (Miss Photogenic), Jennifer Denis (Miss Goodwill) and Juliedawati Junaidi (Miss Personality).
