SULTRY Hannah Tan is back, this time, as an Interpol agent!
She is back with a much bigger and sexier role in her silver screen debut.
The 28-year-old who had been shooting for her first movie over the past two months finally spoke about it.
“It is my first movie role and undoubtedly also my first Malay language film.
“It is very challenging because I have never done this before. There is so much to learn,” she said.
Titled “My Spy”, Tan plays the lead female role alongside actors like Carmen Soo and Daphne Iking.
“I play an Interpol agent disguised as a secretary to a wealthy businessman named Datuk O.
“My character Maria is a smart, beautiful and witty woman who is hated by her colleagues Amber and Jade, played by Daphne and Carmen,” said Tan who is half Chinese and half Kelabit.
Tan said the movie was like James Bond and Thomas Crown Affair put together.
“It’s about the trading and dealing of valuable paintings and along the way, one very valuable piece goes missing and the chase begins.

Hannah Tan ... 'it is a feel good movie'
“It is a feel good movie with funny character names based on real life personalities. It’s all good and fun,” she added.
On how she landed the role, Tan said she was contacted by multiple award winning film director Afdlin Shauki.
Tan, like any other actor, had always wanted and dreamt of making it into the silver screen.
“The offer came and I couldn’t resist it. It was a good opportunity and also a learning curve for me especially since it would mean I’d be working alongside veteran actors like AC Mizal and Harun Salim Bachik.”
According to the sexy petite Tan, the movie which premiers Dec 3, ends with her character revealing her true identity and the arrests of evil twins Amber and Jade.
Arguably one of the most sought-after non-Malay female entertainers in the country, Tan has definitely come a long way.
Popularly known as a host for numerous local television shows, Tan also crafted a name for herself in the music industry when she released her debut album titled “Crossing Bridges” in which the first single “In Between” won the Best Pop/Dance award at the 2006 Hitz.fm MET10 Awards.
Her acting experience goes back into her role in “Bezanya Cinta,” among others.
Many a time, people would think a celebrity such as Tan whose work schedule is so hectic, would not have the time or even the dedication to contribute back to society.
Well, that thought has been proven wrong. Tan encourages youths and celebrities alike to give back to society by organising the recent self-funded “H” Factor Nationwide Creative Youth Workshop, a pioneering four-state community service initiative.
On a separate note, good news to all the blokes out there. This little sex kitten is still single!
“I am practically married to my work,” she said with a laugh.
“I am not actively looking for a partner and I don’t want to rush things. I am happy with what I have and where I am now so I guess we will just have to leave it up to fate.”
