The Heavenly King revealed that he signed with a Hollywood agency in 1992.

“I was a Hollywood star earlier than Jackie Chan and Jet Li. For three years, I flew to America every three months to look at movie scripts.”

Apparently, no script caught his fancy throughout the years.

“I was told very clearly that even in the next 10 years, there would be no more than five scripts that are about Chinese. One of the better scripts I’ve seen is Year of the Dragon (1985), which starred John Lone.

“I’ve not signed with a Hollywood agency after that. What I’m looking for is something that I enjoy doing and hopefully, manage to impress others, instead of following the trend of going Hollywood. It’s not really a big deal to go Hollywood,” he concluded.

The 48-year-old, who got married to longtime girlfriend Carol Chu in 2008, revealed that his daily entertainment with wifey is watching TVB series.

“I enjoy watching Stephen Chow movies. They make me laugh,” he said, adding that his favourite pastime includes going bowling with friends.

    This is a cheap skate actor who hides his loving girlfriend for fear of losing his popularity and income ! Very boastful ..... and more like not suitable for any Hollywood movie.

    well, all i can said about the above comments is...we can guess, but we cant conclude. I think is best not to simply judge people. Whatever it is, there's better thing to do/enjoy/work on....Occasionally reading the news, occasionally do what you need to do, and others stuff. Life goes on...brother and sister, life goes on.

    Could be also Hollywood finds him not suitable in their movies after many auditions. He is definitely not a debonair as Chow Yun-Fatt, and certainly do not have be the action skills of Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li or Jackie Chan. He said he's been going to La-La Land to read the scripts...who knows he may going for auditions and they turned him down.

    I think this guy is full of bull shit. If he is good, he don't even need to travel to Hollywood to be a Hollywood star, like Stephen Chow, all his movies are dubbed in English and shown in Hollywood and everybody loves it there. He is as famous as any Chinese Hollywood star.
