Susan Boyle's neighbours want her to shut up

Susan Boyle earns millions from album sales and live concerts, but when it comes to her thrilling her neighbours, they'd be happier if she would just shut up—or at least tone down her caterwauling by a few hundred notches.

Like millions of fans around the world, SuBo is so in love with her own voice that she wails at the top of her lungs when she's at home. In fact, her voice is so booming that her neighbours can't hear themselves think!

Teresa Miller and her fiancé Paul Keaveney live next to 51-year-old SuBo in Blackburn, Scotland, and they've filed a complaint against her excessive noise-making with council officials. In their claim they say they're kept up all night when SuBo gets in the mood to singalong to her own CDs.

"It's so loud, you can't hear the telly. It's unbearable," said Miller, 39. "It'll be on first thing in the morning or late at night and it's absolutely blaring!"

"She'll put one song on repeat and it goes on for hours," Miller added. "I don't know if she's got a karaoke machine or what, but it's so loud. You wouldn't get Bono from U2 standing in his house singing his songs at the top of his voice."

"Maybe she's practising for her next track or the next time she's going to see Simon Cowell, but it's unbelievable!"

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for SuBo said there's been no contact from the council. "So we're unaware if there even has been a complaint," he said.

Subo's friends have obviously rubbished her neighbour's grumble, and accuse them of being out to get her after she called the coppers on them before.

“It's nonsense. They're the ones causing all the trouble," said one. "Susan doesn't even do her practice in that house. She has her piano in what she calls her posh house on the other side of town and does all her practice there. So it's very unlikely she would disturb these neighbours with her singing."

"These neighbours have been having almighty rows. Susan's been forced to call the police several times as she's been concerned that they might hurt each other. She was scared," added the friend.

SuBo moved into a UK£300,000 (about RM1.5m) villa after her discovery on Britain's Got Talent, but then moved back to her old house six months later. She's amassed an estimated fortune of UK£11m from shifting close to 15 million copies of her three studio album, with a fourth CD due out later this year.

I guess she wouldn't mind it if her neighbors stopped fighting.
She'd be better off letting them beat each other to a pulp next time.
