Panic attacks turned Emma Stone into a funny girl

No reason to panic? Emma Stone still suffers from panic attacks every now and then.
You'd never guess seeing Hollywood golden girl Emma Stone always looking so poised and graceful on the red carpet that she's suffered from panic attacks ever since she was eight years old.
"I was just kind of immobilised by it. I didn't want to go to my friends' houses or hang out with anybody, and nobody really understood," she said in an interview with Vogue, as she recalled her struggles with the condition as a kid.
During her teen years, on top of seeing a therapist, she also relied on acting to overcome her fears. After she decided to pursue an acting career when she was 14, she came up with a presentation to convince her parents to let her drop out of high school.
"(Being on stage) gave me a sense of purpose. I wanted to make people laugh. Comedy was my sport. It taught me how to roll with the punches," she said. "Failure is the exact same as success when it comes to comedy because it just keeps coming. It never stops."
Now 23, Emma is one of Hollywood's “It” starlets. She's currently in The Amazing Spider-Man as Gwen Stacy and dating her co-star from that movie, Andrew Garfield who plays Peter Parker, Gwen's love interest. Life imitating art much?
She still gets panic attacks now and then—the most recent one was during the filming of the movie. "I felt really out of control of my surroundings. I was just baking all the time. It seemed like it made me feel, if I put these in, I'll know what the outcome is," she said.
