Giuliana and Bill are having a baby boy!

E! network stars Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s tumultuous road to parenthood have been well documented on their reality show Giuliana & Bill.
The series not only portrayed Giuliana’s struggle with infertility and their expensive in-vitro fertilisation treatments, but the show also documented her miscarriage and breast cancer diagnosis. Last year she opted for a double mastectomy and is now free from cancer.
Then after five years of marriage and trying to start a family, the Rancics were finally able to break the news in April that they were expecting their first child via gestational surrogate.
"We’re so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," Giuliana told E! News. "We’re absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey," added Bill.
Bill said that surrogacy was their last effort since doctors advised them against getting pregnant for three to five years after Giuliana learnt she had breast cancer in September last year. So finding a surrogate mother is "a dream come true", Giuliana raved.
Although the woman lives in a different state, the Rancics follow her on all her doctor's visits, and they plan on being in the delivery room when their baby is born sometime in the late summer. Giuliana and Bill haven’t given up hope that Giuliana will get pregnant with their second child, once she’s clear of her cancer treatments in five years.
“Five years puts me at 42 and a lot of people have kids at 42,” she said, referring to the likes of Halle Berry, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman, Marcia Cross and Madonna, all of whom became mothers in their 40s. “So I'm definitely going to try again,” she said.
As for the sex of the baby, Giuliana and Bill kept the suspense going for as long as they could, even sending out invitation cards to a baby shower that read: “Blue or pink? What do you think? Find out what baby Rancic will be.”
The answer? "We’re beyond excited to be having a little boy,” said Bill at the party. “We’re so ready for everything that comes with being a new mum and dad! We just can't wait!" said Giuliana.
