Qalisha wants to dress her mum… Indonesian style

Qalisha Ray, the singer behind the hit ballad Satu Januari, was at Indonesian fashion house Dian Pelangi’s fashion show recently. And the gorgeous 21-year-old fell in love with the turbans, blazers and jackets modelled on the runway—so much so that she wants to get some of those designer clothes for her mum.
Tenunan, natik and songket were the order of the day.

An example of Dian Pelangi's demure, soft style.
Geometric motifs, abstract, gradation and tye-dye were shown to an enthusiastic crowd that included Datuk Siti Nurhaliza and actress Umie Aida.

The part Arab, part Afghanistan, part Pakistan and part Malaysian star found the DP Casual Wear, DP Exclusive Wear, DP Plastic Doll, DP Rainbow Raya paraded at the high tea fashion show to be “amazing pieces of work”.
