Edison: Nicholas Tse is still my bro
Although Nicholas Tse and Edison Chen were not as good buddies as they were before, the latter thinks their friendship never ended.
"I feel we are still friends!" he said in an interview with Hong Kong's nowTV.
"We knew each other before entering showbiz. During my teen years, the period that changed my life, he was there with me.
"It is impossible to forget those days. I still feel, if we are to meet again, it will be an extremely joyous feeling. I hope."
The Edison-Nicholas's friendship deteriorated after the 2008 photo scandal, as one of the female artistes involved was Cecilia Cheung - Nicholas's wife then.
Recalling the scandal, Edison said: "I've completely gotten over it.
"Perhaps saying this is too extreme, but in fact I have already prepared for death.
"It's not that I’m thinking of ways to die faster, but it's more like, if this is my last day, I can say to myself: 'I've lived well.'"
Last year, Edison bumped into Cecilia again and took a photo with her - this was said to have led to the split of the couple.
"I don't think I have the power to end their marriage.
"To me, marriage is a very serious matter. If there were a lot of issues before, then there will be many many reasons that leads to a divorce.
"Cecilia and Nic are both my friends, so if I have affected them, I do feel sorry."
Asked if he had tried calling Nicholas over the years, Edison said: "I believe talking over the phone may not be the best way.
"After all, I believe we will meet again one day. I hope we can keep in touch again."
Asked if he would greet Nicholas first, should they met, Edison said: "I will, definitely will."
