Builder sues Akon over RM153,000 unpaid bills

R&B star Akon is being sued by a construction company that built his US$1.65 million (RM5 million) home in Georgia.
The rapper allegedly has US$51,000 (RM153,000) worth of bills to clear following electric work, framing and moulding.
According to TMZ, Southern Electric told Georgia Superior Court that the star refused to pay the exact amount of $51,941 and filed legal papers citing a breach of contract.
In the lawsuit, the organisation completed over US$344,000 (RM1.1 million) worth of work on his mansion and despite contacting his mother in November - who acted as his agent in the deal - they have made no progress.
Akon's property is a four-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion, set over two storeys.
