Politician misses flights, destroys airport computers

A prominent political advisor in China has been suspended after a video recording surfaced on the Internet last week showing him smashing the equipment at the boarding gate of an airport.
In the five-minute clip, Yan Linkun—a member of the Shizong county commission's Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Yunnan province—is seen bashing into the computers and glass door at a boarding gate in Kunming Changshui International Airport.
According to news website yunnan.cn, Yan—who is also the deputy board director of a local mining company under the Guangdong Fengle Group—lost his temper after he and his family missed two flights in one day.

The family of four checked in at 10:30AM for an 11:05AM flight to Guangzhou. They went for breakfast and arrived at the boarding gate 20 minutes before departure time, only to find that the flight was already closed.
So they booked the next flight at 1PM, but were even later to the gate, arriving at 12:45PM. When they were refused boarding again, Yan went ballistic and started whacking away at the computers and equipment, while screaming and shouting at the airline crew.
Yan has since been suspended from his political advisory position and his job at the mining company. He has also apologised to the airport administration
