Barack Obama teases David Beckham
Not many can boast that they rub shoulders with US president Barack Obama and get teased by him. Well, count David Beckham among them.
The 38-year-old soccer star was welcomed into the White House by none other than Obama himself, for a celebration of the Los Angeles Galaxy's third Major League Soccer Cup.
Obama, 50, playfully teased Beckham about his age while complimenting on how fit he looks.
"We have a young up-and-comer on the team, a guy named David Beckham. I have to say I gave David a hard time—I said half his teammates could be his kids. We're getting old, David. Although you're holding up better than me," quipped the president.

He then called Beckham "tough", while recounting the latter's sports injuries last year.
"In fact, it is a rare man who can be that tough on the field and also have his own line of underwear," Obama said in reference to Beckham's much-talked about bodywear line for H&M.
"David Beckham is that man," he added.
