`Pig heads' dump pig heads outside mosque

MCA has slammed the culprits who dumped nine pig heads outside a mosque in Johor Baru, saying Malaysians must not fall for the bait set by those intent on causing tension within the country's multi-religious and multi-cultural society.

MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong accused them of “knowing full well the inflammatory nature of their dastardly act”.

He was commenting on an incident outside the Al-Falah Mosque in Taman Desa Jaya, where two plastic bags were dumped separately on two occasions at around 5pm on Thursday and about 5am the next day one containing four decomposed pig heads and the other containing five heads.

“The calm displayed by Johoreans especially by Muslim worshippers of the mosque must be praised and should be emulated.

“If this folly was intended to unleash social discord among multi-racial Malaysians of various faiths, then we must not fall into the trap.

“On the contrary, by upholding peace and stability, we will emerge stronger and more united as a nation,” Dr Wee said in a statement.

In Johor Baru, state police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Shariff said guards would be placed at all places of worship following the incident.
